Hasseler named to Century National Bank’s Board of Directors

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Thomas M. Lyall, Chairman of the Board, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Susan S. Hasseler to Century National Bank’s Board of Directors.

Hasseler became President of Muskingum University in July of 2016. Prior to joining Muskingum University, Hasseler served as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Augustana University in South Dakota, Dean of the School of Business, Education and Social Sciences and Dean of Community Engagement at Messiah College in Pennsylvania, and Associate Dean for Undergraduate and Graduate Teacher Education at Calvin College in Michigan.

Hasseler earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from Calvin College, her master’s degree in special education from the University of South Dakota, and her doctorate’s degree from Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy. She is an active leader in national higher education associations, most recently serving on the Board of Directors of the American Conference of Academic Deans and presents regularly for the Council of Independent Colleges. Hasseler is also a member of the Zanesville Noon Rotary Club.

Hasseler resides in New Concord with her husband Kenneth. They have two grown children Kaitlin and Jon, who is married to Mallory.
