Murphy, Eppley & Tom Promoted at CNB

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Patrick L. Nash, President & CEO of Century National Bank, is proud to announce the promotion of Joe Murphy, Melissa Tom and Drew Eppley. Murphy has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Tom to Administrative Manager, and Eppley to Administrative Manager.

William Joseph Murphy joined Century National Bank’s trust and investment team in December of 2011. Beginning his banking career with Century National Bank in 2002, Murphy later served as a trust administrator and financial advisor at the Park National Bank in Newark, and as a trust administrator with Wells Fargo Wealth Management in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Since his return to Century, Murphy has been an integral member of the trust and investment team. Murphy was promoted in 2014 to Banking Officer and Trust Officer, and will continue to serve as an Assistant Vice President and Trust Officer.

Murphy graduated from West Muskingum High School and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in economics from The Ohio State University. He is a member of the Muskingum County Community Foundation Council. Murphy resides in Zanesville with his wife, Sara, and their three children, Miley, Bella and Will.

In January of 2014, Drew Eppley began with Century National Bank as a Management Associate. Eppley joined the trust and investment team in March of 2014 as a Financial Advisor/Trust Administrator. He will continue to serve in this role as an Administrative Manager.

A graduate of Rosecrans High School, Eppley earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio University. Eppley majored in finance and graduated with cum laude honors. Eppley is a current Leadership Muskingum participant and United Way Loaned Executive. He also volunteers his time for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Eppley is a Zanesville native, where he continues to reside.

Melissa Tom joined Century National Bank’s trust and investment team in November of 2007. Tom began her career with the bank as a Trust Administrative Assistant. In 2013, Tom was promoted to Junior Trust Administrator. She will continue in this role as an Administrative Manager.

Tom graduated from Philo High School, and is a Chandlersville resident. She resides with her husband, B.J., and their two sons, Matt and J.D.
