New Positions for Lasure & Newton at Century National Bank

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Patrick L. Nash, President and CEO of Century National Bank, is pleased to announce a new position for Susan A. Lasure, and the promotion of Jason J. Newton. Lasure will begin in her new role within the Consumer Loan Department, and Newton will serve as the North Brandywine Banking Center Manager.

Susan Lasure joined Century National Bank in 2004, and has almost 30 years of banking experience. Since 2005, Lasure has served as the North Brandywine Banking Center Manager, where she was promoted to an Assistant Vice President in 2008. Lasure will move into her new role of Assistant Vice President of the Consumer Loan Department, and will be located at the bank’s Main Office.

After graduating from West Muskingum High School, Lasure attended The Ohio State University and obtained a degree in retail marketing and management from Muskingum Area Technical College (now Zane State College). Lasure has supported various local organizations and events, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, West Muskingum Boosters, United Way, the Animal Shelter Society, and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night.

Lasure resides in Zanesville with her husband, Kevin. The couple have two grown sons, Josh and Tyler (Danielle), and two grandchildren, Lincoln and Lilly.

Jason Newton began his career with Century National Bank in June of 2013. Newton joined the Mortgage Processing Department before advancing to a Management Associate position, and then joining the South Zanesville Office as a Personal Banker in May of 2014. He was promoted to Assistant Banking Center Manager in April of 2015 and eventually to Administrative Officer earlier this year.

Newton is a Zanesville High School graduate, and attended Muskingum University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business and accounting. Newton is a lifelong resident of Zanesville, and enjoys giving back to his community. Newton is a South Zanesville Business Association Board Member, volunteers for many organizations, and enjoys being active within the bowling community and the Zanesville High School Quarterback Club.

Newton lives in Zanesville with his wife, Samantha, and their daughter, Brynn.
